Far End dates back to the latter part of the 18th Century when it was built as a public house to serve the adjacent new Grand Union Canal. In those days it was called the Kixley Tavern’. The property reverted to a private residence over a hundred years ago however many features including the cosy Inglenook Fireplace in the lounge and the old beer cellar have survived to this day.
